Vallivue High School is the students’ workplace, and one of our goals is to prepare students for life beyond high school. Therefore, dressing befitting a person’s workplace and a school setting is expected. Any manner of dress that negatively affects, is distracting to the educational atmosphere, or is deemed a safety issue will be addressed by staff and school administration. The items listed below serve only as a guideline. Specific gang-related activities and apparel are addressed in the Student Conduct section of this handbook. Other dress code issues not addressed in this section may be handled at the discretion of the administration.
*Exceptions to the dress code may be granted on designated ‘Theme Days’ by the school administration at the request of the Student Council/Leadership.
