VUSD Plex

When it comes to technology in this day in age, a lot of desktops and laptops are getting much thinner, forgoing features that used to be a standard i.e. DVD players. We live in an age where watching videos through a service is becoming a standard. In this case, where many videos are required for your curriculum, the Vacaville Unified School District provides all teachers and staff access to our very own Plex Media Server.

What is Plex?

Plex is a free-to-use video streaming service that allows us to stream videos across our district network. Videos are housed on a local media server and Plex is the app that gives you access to watch whatever is available on our local media server.

Note: The VUSD Plex server is only available to view on our District Network. Access outside of school sites will not work.

How to connect to Plex

If you are using Clever, find the Plex button in the Clever Portal and use that to navigate to the Plex website.

Another way to get to the website is to click here: https://www.plex.tv

Upper right hand corner of the website, click "Sign In"

You are going to input the email and password manually. Connecting with Google, Facebook, or Apple will not work.

Please keep login credentials confidential. Students should not be logging into this server. Staff Access Only

After you sign in with the VUSD Plex credentials, click "Open Plex" in the upper right hand corner

The main page will look like this

Navigate To Your Media

On the left hand corner of the main page you will see that you have options to choose from.

Click on "Library" to see everything in alphabetical order

Can't Find What You Need?

All media that you see listed on the VUSD Plex server is what we are providing as a District. Missing something needed for your curriculum?
