Changing Your Password

Changing your password is very important to ensuring your data, documents, and more, are protected and secure. However, there are some extra steps you need to take after changing your password. We hope that this page will help guide you in the process.

How Do I Change My District Password?

What you should know: When you change your District Password, it will also change it for Aeries, Google, Outlook, and your VacavilleUSD District Wi-Fi. While it is awesome that your password changes all at once across the board, there is one step you MUST take to ensure you do not lock yourself out of your own account.

You need to update all of your devices and applications that use your District Password.

If you do not, your devices and accounts will try to authenticate using your old password.

When it does that enough times, it will lock your account.

If that happens, don't panic. Contact your site secretary to Request a Technology Specialist for assistance.

After you change your password, here's what you need to do next.

A lot of staff members have Google save their passwords to make it a bit easier to sign into apps and webpages. However, if you change your password, you will need to type in the new password on the following:

Your District Google Login

Aeries Login

Outlook Web App Login

Technology Request Login

Once you type in your new password and attempt to log in, Google typically opens up a window and ask if you want to "Update Your Password". Click on "Update Password" and it will save your new password over the old password.
