Welcome!

Welcome to the UW System School Library Education Collaborative!

The Collaborative is a collaboration across the University of Wisconsin campuses at Whitewater, Oshkosh, and Madison. Permanent faculty teach courses to prepare school library information and technology specialists who take leadership roles in their schools.

The Collaborative offers high quality instruction, up-to-date content, peer relationships and reduced commuting. Choose a home base, but work with faculty from each institution and with other school librarians from across the state. Each semester, take hybrid distance courses and spend a weekend with professional colleagues at the campus offering each course.

Does The Collaborative interest you? Check tabs in the menu. See how to apply for admission, choose your campus, determine the technology you need, find when courses are offered and learn how to register for courses. Registration, finances, and all records are maintained at your home campus.

Mission

The mission of University of Wisconsin System School Library Education Collaborative is to put prepared librarians into Wisconsin schools. We accomplish this by cooperating across UW campuses to offer school library licensure courses taught by faculty and delivered outside of teacher work hours.
