Every year, Ukiah High is honored to welcome several exchange students from around the world. Not only do these new students offer a fresh perspective about our culture, they offer great opportunity for great friendship and connection. Let’s meet them and see what they have to say about their exchange experience so far:
Alice Pascucci:
Where are you From?
I’m from Italy, in a city on the north coast.
What’s something you like about the US so far?
I like the school, and also the fact you have sports in school and school spirit. I love being a cheerleader.
What do you miss from home?
My food! Everything is sugar and cheese here.
Thiago Lundqvist:
Where are you from?
Argentina.
What’s something you like about the US so far?
I like everything. All is different. Everything is beautiful and the people are really cool. I feel comfortable here.
What do you miss from home?
I miss my friends a lot. I miss them every day. I miss my parents sometimes too.
Also, the system of the school here is really different and is really difficult. We start classes at 7:25, and we leave sometimes at 12:00 and other times 12:45. We have three block a day, and it’s only for one subject. I prefer our system.
Anna Dolleris:
