Breakfast With Tiffany
If you’re looking for a fun way to spend extra time and money with your friends, Ukiah has a lot of breakfast options. These are the ones you should DEFINITELY try:
Mama’s Cafe:
In the morning, Mama’s Cafe is quiet. Doors open at 5 am, but at 7 you should have plenty enough time to have breakfast before school. If you ever find yourself with a lot of extra time in the morning then stop by and order their belgian waffles. The cloud-like whipped cream on top of ruby red organic strawberries perfectly embodies the fluffy insides of their golden, crunchy waffle. Just one is more than filling. Although a little pricey, their service and quality taste makes it a perfect spot for an early breakfast.
If you're running late but want the Beyoncé of coffee for the Taylor Swift price, then Mama’s separate express area is perfect. Imported from Fort Bragg, Mr.Espresso coffee has a smooth, warm flavor that is perfect for those mornings when you need a quick fix.
Stans Maple Cafe:
For a diner that’s been around 94 years, Stan’s manages to have quality substitutes for those of you with eating restrictions. With the aesthetics of a dog treat, yet surprisingly artery-clogging flavour, Stan’s veggie bacon is wonderfully mysterious. If you’re looking for a classic, quality American breakfast, Stan’s Maple Cafe is the perfect fit. Their hash browns lightly shine, but aren’t too greasy; in fact, they have a pleasing, rich, milky taste. Their eggs and waffles are both fluffy and filling, and their toast and biscuits come right from Schat’s.
Stan’s Maple Cafe is the classic breakfast diner. In fact, their meals are larger and more cost-efficient than Denny’s. Although it might take longer than going through the drive-through, coming to Stan’s helps promote local business and keeps money in the community.
Black Oak
If you’re REALLY running late, but still want to boost your insta feed, come to Black Oak. Usually, you can get a coffee in five minutes. Although a little pricey for a cafe, they have great pastries too, delivered from Roland’s Bakery in Willits. The chocolate-almond croissant is sweet and flakey with toasted almond flakes that match the crunch of the pastry perfectly. They have vegan and gluten-free options too.
Move over pumpkin spice latte! Black Oak’s lavender latte is the new drink that fits every season. Black Oak has a variety of teas and lattes, and although some might have distasteful garnish, all of them are well-balanced. Black Oak is the classic coffee joint with a modern twist.
Although small, Ukiah definitely has some out of this world flavor when it comes to breakfast food.
