Your supervisor and/or coordinator will also provide you with the following logistics within the first three days of your job:
Verify your identification and submit this information to Human Resources.
Take their photo and submit it to Employee Development for a badge.
Request building access.
Submit a request for network access.
Provide them with materials needed to do their job.
Discuss their work schedule.
Request a fuel pin/card.
Ensure the new hire has access to their email.
Direct the new rotational to take OSHA 10.
Provide the rotational with the opportunity to complete all new hire training in the UDOT Portal.
Discuss a performance plan and schedule a time to establish one.
Worksite Onboarding is initially the responsibility of the Region Coordinators. Supervisors at other locations will likely follow a similar protocol. Experiences may vary by region or each experience but will likely include:
Introductions around the region
Placement at your workstation
Introduction to other Rotational Engineers in the Regions
Outline of your rotational experience for the next four years and for each of your rotations.
Determine the rotations based on the organizational needs and your interests
Schedule periodic reviews / check in meetings
Meet your supervisor and team
Outline potential training to get you started
