An additional onboarding will take place with the Rotational Engineers after they have had a chance to experience their positions for a few weeks. The intent of this orientation is to answer questions, review resources, introduce mentors and coaches throughout the department. There will some training involved but mostly an opportunity to meet others with similar experiences and those overseeing the various rotations.
Topics and experience of the Rotational Engineer Orientation may include:
Provide overview of the rotational program
Introduce those overseeing the program
Learn about the role of the Region Coordinators
Hear from past participants of the Rotational Program
Outline the formal mentoring experience
Gain knowledge about the resources and trainings that are available
Meet some of the supervisors, mentors, and coaches you may be working for and with
Meet other current Rotational Engineers
Receive answers to your questions
