USDB: Outreach Teacher for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing
Washington County District Rep
Rachel Parry works for USDB as a Teacher for the Deaf/Hard of Hearing serving students Preschool age through Post-High. She graduated Cum Laude from the University of Utah with a Bachelor of Science in Communication and then obtained a Master of Education/Teacher’s License in Special Education with an Endorsement to teach the Deaf/Hard of Hearing. Her first assignment was in the Duchesne District, and she has served for several years in the Washington and Kane Districts, as well as teaching in/collaborating with charter schools, private schools, and some home-bound students. She has served on the Washington District Special Education Leadership Team, collaborated with the Speech Team and District Audiological Services, and been the featured presenter on educational implications of hearing loss for several education classes with both Dixie State University and the University of Utah Distance Learning Program. She is currently serving students in Washington District focusing on communication skills emphasizing language, auditory skills development, and speech. She loves the arts, crocheting, and yoga, and her favorite treat is dark chocolate whenever she can get it!

Heidi Condie has been working at USDB as a classroom teacher for the last 4 years. She helped establish the deaf preschool in St. George and where she has been a resident for the last 20 years. Heidi has a Master's Degree from the University of Utah in Special Education with an emphasis in Deaf and Hard of Hearing. She is married with three children, enjoys the outdoors, and is a connoisseur of making and eating S'mores. She likes living on the wild side and finds joy in thrill seeking activities like Skydiving, Cliff Jumping, Repelling, and anything else she is challenged to do.
