Planning
The teacher plans the teaching based on subject standards, curriculum goals, student knowledge, and the learning community.
As part of competency 3, I present documents that demonstrate the planning of classes, analysis of educational curriculum and the creation of a positive learning environment. These serve as a benefit for the educator and the students due to its importance. Each one of the aforementioned concepts contribute to the creation of each class and unit which develops the skills and abilities of the student in the language.
Literature Program (Click on the link!)- The literature program is a two-semester plan based on children's literature. It is divided into months or weeks and each subdivision is classified into units or themes. The literature program not only helps the teacher organize his/her curriculum for the year, but also organizes the classroom reading center and decides what sources will be used to acquire the materials. This work was carried out as part of the EING 4016 course (Literature for children) and with the objective of creating a unit plan based on children's literature that helps to develop the skills in the English language.
Lesson Plan (Click on the link!)- The daily class plan presents 5th grade English class about the environment with an emphasis on reading. This plan was developed for the EING 4019 (English-Speaking) course with the objective of developing the knowledge skills to create a daily class plan that covers the different areas of importance in the classroom, with adequate objectives, identification of standards , procedure and more.
Curriculum Mapping (Click on the link!)- The curricular maps organize thematically, the evaluation, the curriculum and the instruction. They allow educators to plan and outline what is taught in a given year. This presentation provides essential information about the creation of curricular maps and the Common Core Standards.
