The Philippines is characterized by its rich cultural heritage; this is what gives the country an identity that is collectively shared by its people. Art is among the most dominant influencing factors on how a nation is projected globally — the purpose it served in history and its contribution to the present time. More especially with indigenous groups whose arts date back to the pre-colonial period, the appreciation and preservation must be centered on them for they are primarily affected by the rise of different alternative producers of the same art they create. According to Moya (2021), Filipino indigenous weaving experiences a crisis as more affordable textile products with almost the same designs were produced by factories. Therefore, indigenous textiles are in need of more exposure wherein the younger generation can recognize the essence of this art.
