Dr. Marie Rose H. Morales is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology in UP Diliman. She obtained her BS Psychology and MS in Psychology major in Clinical Psychology degrees from De La Salle University Manila. She completed her PhD in Psychology, with focus on Personality and Individual Differences, in UP Diliman. Her dissertation focused on personality traits relevant to diskarte, or creative social problem-solving.
She practices as an assessment psychologist for children. She also volunteers as a child psychotherapist in SLU-Sunflower on the Hill in Taytay, Rizal. She obtained her Registered Psychologist license in 2015, and her certification as a specialist in assessment psychology in 2020. She was the chairperson of the Assessment Psychology Division of the Psychological Association of the Philippines from 2020-2022.
Her research interests include assessment, creativity, intelligence, and problem-solving. She has also been involved in child protection research and advocacy in the Philippines.
