Based on our visits and consulting with other colleagues, we have come up with a few things you should know about eet by Maneet Chauhan at Disney Springs.
Who is Maneet Chauhan?
Maneet Chauhan was born and raised in India. She developed her incredible skills at the highly respected Culinary Institute of America in New York. She earned the highly coveted James Beard Award as a chef. In addition, she has grown in fame as a competitor and judge on several Food Network shows.

Quick Service Aspect of eet by Maneet Chauhan
Maneet Chauhan operates several other restaurants throughout the United States. Still, this counts as her first quick service restaurant. Before the opening day of eet by Maneet Chauhan at Disney Springs, we were fortunate enough to speak with Maneet Chauhan.
She expressed excitement about this new restaurant concept. We asked her about this being her first quick service (counter service) dining option. She responded by saying she was excited for all groups to be able to enjoy this Indian cuisine. Also, she commented that since it was counter service, families could visit this restaurant paying a lower price than many table service options at Disney Springs and elsewhere. This allows more people to experience this new restaurant and this introduction to Indian cuisine. After chatting with Chauhan, we could easily see how important it was to her for families not to feel that her cuisine was unattainable based on the higher prices charged at a table service style restaurant.
Why is it called “eet?”
When this quick service restaurant was announced in July, we were surprised by the name. “eet” sounds like an odd name for an Indian restaurant at Disney Springs. We wondered where the name for “eet’ came from. When we spoke with Maneet Chauhan a few days before the opening of eet by Maneet Chauhan at Disney Springs, she pointed out the clear reason for the restaurant’s name. After speaking with her, we felt a bit embarrassed not to catch the reason for the restaurant's name. The reasoning explains why the restaurant name is not capitalized.
The restaurant’s name comes from Chauhan’s first name. The restaurant serves as a play on her name using the last three letters of her first name: “Man-eet.” That functions as a clever play on her name for the first quick service dining option by her and her husband, Vivek Deora.

As you might expect, eet by Maneet Chauhan serves Indian cuisine. Still, guests should avoid any stereotypes about Indian cuisine when considering dining at this new Disney Springs quick service location.
The menu reflects Chauhan’s style and Indian culture. Familiar terms like tikki masala and naan bread appear on the menu at eet by Maneet Chauhan.
However, guests should not expect a high level of spice with the menu items at eet by Maneet Chauhan. Guests will be able to tell that the food comes from an Indian perspective but it will not overwhelm guests with spice. The flavors are good. Nevertheless, guests expecting very hot, spicy food might be disappointed if looking for that characteristic of Indian cuisine.
