Final Ceramics and Sculpture I Project and Test
Final 3D Sculpture
This final 3D sculpture consists of your choice of medium, concept, subject matter, and compositional outline. It must be 3D in some aspect; however, a low relief is acceptable as it does have some depth and dimension. A flat sheet of paper or canvas does not count. Think back to everything you have done in this course and build upon that for a starting point.
You are responsible for brainstorming an idea, planning its details, proposing your idea to me, executing your sculpture from start to finish with a mid-progress check in with me, and submitting the final sculpture to Google Classroom.
Points to consider:
You can select a concept you've already worked on in this course or another course and build upon it to improve
You can select a skill or technique you feel you need more work on to improve
You can select a skill or technique you've mastered already to build upon your particular artist style
You can select a medium you have not worked with yet to gain exposure and experience
You can select a composition you think will challenge your artistic problem solving skill set (Rule of Odds, Rule of Evens, Juxtaposition, Severe Contrast, etc.)
The sky is the limit, so please think your idea through carefully!Â
