The Study plan is the list of the exams chosen by the student: these comprehend mandatory and elective exams, for a total amount of 120 credits (94 of mandatory exams, 14 of elective exams and 12 of final thesis).
In Italy university credits are called CFU (Crediti Formativi Universitari), while in English they are called ECTS (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System)
Elective exams can be chosen among the ones offered by our master's degree, but also among other courses of other master's degrees: in this latter case, the course must be related to an architectural thematic and the students must ask the professor if he/she can accept a student coming from another master's degree.
Furthermore, the student has to receive the confirmation from the didactic board of the course in order to add a course of another master's degree.
The 14 credits to be obtained through elective exams must comprehend one elective exam to be taken in the first year, and at least another in the second year.
In the first year students can choose one of the following elective exams:
"Theory and practice of Conservation" (6 credits, first semester)
"HBIM models for Architecture" (6 credits, second semester)
"Urban morphology" (6 credits, second semester)
In the second year the credits to be obtained are 8, and there are more options, including exams from other master's degrees. The chosen course can be of maximum 11 credits (3 + the required credits). It means that courses of 12 credits are not accepted.
Login at Infostud, click on "CORSI DI LAUREA", then click on "PERCORSO FORMATIVO".
The online platform can help you to check credits and didactic details. After checking the Study Plan, click on "INVIA", and then on "RICHIEDI APPROVAZIONE" and then "INVIA".
If the procedure has been successfully completed, the following message will appear: "Il percorso formativo è corretto". After that, the Didactic Office of the course (or Program Coordinator) will evaluate it, approving it or asking you to make some changes.
As regulated by the Faculty Didactic Calendar, the Study Plan (also called "Learning path") can be changed only one time per Academic Year, approximately during the periods:
10 October - 10 November
10 March - 10 April
