Prof. Alberto Sesana

I am a Full Professor of Astrophysics at University of Milano-Bicocca, where I coordinate the B Massive project, funded by a CoG grant of the European Research Conucil.

I am a member of the European Pulsar Timing Array collaboration (EPTA) and International Pulsar Timing Array (IPTA),  using data from large radio telescopes around the world to detect nano-Hz frequency gravitational waves by timing ultra-stable millisecond pulsars.

I am also a member of the LISA Consortium, the scientific community supporting the Laser Interferometer Space Antenna (LISA), a spaceborne gravitational wave detector to be launched by the European Space Agency in the early 30s' that will survey the gravitational wave sky at milli-Hz frequencies.

I have also recently joined the science teams working on the X ray missions Athena  and Theseus
