Three Chemical Engineering students from Malikussaleh University (Unimal), Uzli (Lhokseumawe), Mustika (Padang), and Syarifah (Bener Meriah), graduated in just 3 years and 11 months. Guided by Dr. Leni Maulinda and supported by the department, they excelled academically, achieving GPAs above 3.5. Their final colloquium was on July 25, 2024. Their dedication and hard work have paved the way for promising futures, and the department congratulates them on their success, hoping to inspire other students.
Lhokseumawe, July 26, 2024 – In a proud achievement, three students from the Chemical Engineering Department at Malikussaleh University (Unimal) have successfully completed their studies in 3 years and 11 months, exceeding the target duration. These high-achieving students are Uzli (from Lhokseumawe), Mustika (from Padang), and Syarifah (from Bener Meriah).
With intensive guidance from Dr. Leni Maulinda, S.T., M.T., and full support from the Department Head and all academic staff of Chemical Engineering at Unimal, all three successfully completed all academic requirements. Their final colloquium exam was held on July 25, 2024.
The success of Uzli, Mustika, and Syarifah is inseparable from their high level of perseverance and dedication in their studies. They were able to manage their time well between studying, completing assignments, and participating in organizations. Effective study strategies, such as group study and creating a regular study schedule, were key to their success. In addition, support from family and friends also served as a motivation for them.
With a GPA above 3.5, all three demonstrated exceptional academic excellence among their peers. Not only excelling academically, they were also active in various student organizations, such as Himatemia, demonstrating a good balance between academics and non-academics. During their studies, Uzli and Mustika were actively involved in research under the guidance of Nasrul ZA, S.T., M.T., producing several quality scientific papers.
During their studies, they faced several challenges, such as difficulty understanding certain materials or managing their time. However, with a high spirit and support from various parties, they were able to overcome all these challenges. They shared knowledge and experiences with their peers, creating a positive and supportive learning environment.
After graduation, Uzli plans to pursue a master's degree in Renewable Energy Technology, while Mustika is interested in working in a company in the oil and gas sector, and Syarifah wants to start a startup business in coffee processing, in line with the potential of her hometown, Bener Meriah. All three have the same desire to make a positive contribution to society through their knowledge.
"Never give up on pursuing your dreams," said Uzli. "Take advantage of every opportunity and don't be afraid to step out of your comfort zone." Mustika added, "The key to success is hard work, consistency, and support from loved ones." Meanwhile, Syarifah advised, "Learn not only from books, but also from experiences and interactions with others."
The Chemical Engineering Department at Unimal congratulates the three students on their achievements. Hopefully, this success can inspire other students to continue to excel. Dr. Leni Maulinda, as the supervising lecturer, expressed her pride in the achievements of her students. "They are very talented students and have a strong desire to learn. I am confident that they will become qualified graduates and make a significant contribution to society," she said.
With this extraordinary achievement, Uzli, Mustika, and Syarifah have proven that Chemical Engineering students at Unimal have very good quality and are able to compete at the national and international levels. Hopefully, their success can inspire the younger generation to continue learning and achieving their goals.
