UNIMALNEWS | Seremban - Dr. Ir. Rozanna Dewi, IPM, a lecturer from the Faculty of Engineering, carried out the Inbound Visiting Scholar Programme to INTI International University. INTI International University is one of the higher education institutions located in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia. The program was held from October 22 to 28, 2023.
Based on the release sent to Unimalnews, this program is a collaboration between Universitas Malikussaleh and INTI International University. According to the Coordinator of the Chemical Engineering Study Program at Unimal, the aim of this program is to build research collaboration, networking, joint scientific article and book publication, guest lectures and public lectures, joint conferences, including student exchanges. "Through this program, we engaged in various activities such as learning the academic atmosphere, facilities, and work culture available at INTI International University," she explained.
Through this program, Rozanna Dewi has also been selected as a research fellow at INTI International University. Her position as a research fellow runs from September 1, 2023, to December 31, 2025. "As a research fellow, I am provided with facilities for joint research, joint publication, and supervising master's student research at INTI," she added. During this occasion, she also delivered a guest lecture on the theme "Starch and Cellulose Based Degradable Plastic." This activity is part of the necessary activities for the development of the Center of Excellence in Science and Technology (PUI) for Natural Polymers and Plastic Recycling at Universitas Malikussaleh.
"We hope that through this agreement, research and publication of articles and books on the topic of green engineering with lecturers from the Faculty of Engineering at INTI International University will soon be carried out. Their experience and expertise will be beneficial in the topic of natural polymers and plastic recycling that we are currently working on. Hopefully, this will be a mutually beneficial experience with Universitas Malikussaleh," she concluded.
