This section provides guidance on using the SIS/myRisk application developed for UNFPA and its importance in operationalizing the new Enterprise Risk Management policy.
An integral part of risk management, the UNFPA risk assessment results, risk response design, action plans, and the status of their implementation, with risks aggregated and prioritized, are documented, maintained, and reported using the SIS/myRisk ERM application and other tools established by ERM Secretariat.
To capture risks and related risk response actions in a more efficient and user-friendly way, as well as to improve risk analysis and data security, the web-based Corporate ERM information technology application ("myRisk") was modified to align with the new ERM policy. MyRisk Application establishes a clear workflow and allows for better oversight and quality control throughout the risk management process, resulting in higher quality, more actionable risks. Further, the myRisk Application strengthens linkages between risk management and operational planning.
Please be advised that this ERM guidebook only covers the ERM assessment and validation phase, which involves the risk assessment carried out by the mandated business units and its subsequent validation by the relevant management level. The guidance for the risk response phase will be incorporated into the guidebook after the risk assessment and validation phase is completed.
