Dr. WILLIAM F. KENNEDY Graduate Fellowship
The Dr. William F. Kennedy Graduate Fellowship was established by Dr. Kennedy, a former professor in the College of Business, for UNC Charlotte students who have financial need and demonstrate academic promise.
Award First Year: $20,000 service‐free stipend divided equally between fall and spring semesters. In‐state tuition, non‐resident tuition (if required), and health insurance offered through the Graduate Assistant Support Plan (GASP). Second‐Fifth Year: In‐state tuition, nonresident tuition (if required), health insurance offered through the Graduate Assistant Support Plan (GASP). The department is expected to provide a qualifying Graduate Assistantship in the academic program with a stipend of at least $20,000. Note: Must be enrolled full-time (9 credits)

Nomination Deadline: March 27, 2024
Newly admitted to a doctoral program for summer or fall 2024
Preference will be given to domestic students who show evidence of the potential to make a significant contribution to society by completing their terminal degree in their chosen discipline.
Preference given to first-generation graduate students.
Minimum GPA of 3.0-4.0.
Must enroll full-time (9 or more graduate credit hours) fall and spring semesters.
Open to both domestic and international students
