The morning of Aug. 6 Vice President Kamala Harris announced governor
Tim Waltz to run as Vice President for the presidential elections of 2024.
Minnesotans had different things to say about Harris’s election on Walz.
Josh Fimberg said he is excited about the election of governor Walz for
Vice President position in the upcoming elections.
“I think he's really straightforward in the way he talks about issues that I
think are important to a lot of people,” Fimberg said. “He has a fantastic
backstory that I think will appeal to all kinds of different stakeholders within
the electorate.”
Another person said it is more important to worry who will be the governor
of Minnesota with Walz leaving his position open.
“I have been looking a lot more at Penny Flanagan, for me I am more
worried about our governor than someone running for Vice President that
might not win.”
A woman also said she is excited about this election since the addition of
Walz to the presidential run.
“As soon as Kamala Harris stepped up and was enthusiastic about running
for president, I had some optimism around the presidential election for the
first time since Obama.”
Presidential elections are set for Tuesday Nov. 5, 2024.
