Ella Hendrickson is a senior studying journalism and theatre arts at the University of Minnesota. While reporting, she likes harvesting the perfect quotes, getting to know strangers and making readers emotional. She also likes applauding viciously for theatre and picking folk-style guitar rhythms for hours. She's looking for an internship related to arts and entertainment or political reporting.

Block party strengthens connection with community, instead of local police

In one Marcy-Holmes neighborhood, Neighborhood Night Out organizers of the event wanted community networks to form outside of relationships with law enforcement.
