We all belong in ECE

We come from diverse places.

ECE students come from near and far! We have students from rural areas, urban areas, Minnesota, other US states, global and worldwide including the Middle East, Asia, Europe, Africa, and elsewhere. ECE students’ diverse cultural backgrounds create a dynamic experience for all of us!

We engage in diverse lives.

Outside of Keller Hall, our students lead fascinating lives! Some students are musicians, some enjoy the activity of PE classes, some conduct research, some study abroad, some are student athletes, some participate in honor societies, some work at internships, some are involved in campus clubs and organizations, and so on. Impressive!

We celebrate diverse identities.

Women, people of color, transfer and international students, veterans, LGBTQ+ students, people born outside of the US, career changers, students who work with the Disability Resource Center, ROTC students, nontraditional students. We embrace the unique lived experiences of all ECE students!

The Bias Response and Referral Network (BRRN) responds to reports of bias incidents on the Twin Cities campus. The BRRN’s goal is to contribute to a campus climate that is welcoming, inclusive, and respectful for all. The BRRN provides support resources to impacted parties, promotes education and dialogue, and affirms the University's commitment to equity and diversity, free speech, and academic freedom.
