COSP Scholars may apply for a COSP Travel Grant of up to $1,000 on a biannual basis to aid in Research Travel for conducting a study or Conference Travel when invited to present at major conferences in their field of study.

Graduate & Professional scholarly excellence in equity and divsersity
The Graduate and Professional Scholarly Excellence in Equity and Diversity (SEED) Awards honor graduate and professional students at the University of Minnesota whose research and scholarly interests are focused on issues of equity, diversity, and/or social justice, and who demonstrate outstanding creativity, innovation, and potential for scholarly and/or professional excellence in their discipline or field. In addition, SEED Award recipients will demonstrate experience with or commitment to serving or working with under-served, underrepresented or marginalized populations.

The School of Public Health Student Senate offers grants for students to grow both personally and professionally. These grants are funded by the SPH Student Senate budget and are open to all University of Minnesota School of Public Health students.
All applicants that complete their SOPHAS application by midnight (EST) on the priority deadline of December 1 and that are admitted to the University of Minnesota School of Public Health, will be considered for first-round, school-wide scholarships. Scholarships are awarded on a rolling basis.
The University also offers several scholarships and fellowships which require separate applications. Additional resources are available for veterans.
SPH Current Student Scholarship
SPH is excited to be able to offer Current Student Scholarships to SPH students, with a preference for students who will be finishing their degree in the 2022-2023 academic year and contribute to the diversity of the School of Public Health. Award amounts will range from $1,000 - $5,000 based on fund requirements and be distributed starting in the Fall 2022 semester. To apply please visit the SPH Current Student Scholarship Application.
