Jacob (He/Him) is the key contact Graduate Program Coordinator for the Epidemiology, Community Health Promotion and Public Health Nutrition MPH degrees. My role involves advocating for student needs through holistic methods, administrative support, advising, coordination of events, and referrals to support resources across the vast UMNTC system.
My main priority is facilitating quality student support services from admission to graduation helping students through their educational journey. I am also forever a learner so I look forward to learning from you students while I work closely with you through your degree experience.
In addition to my student services work, I am also an avid kickballer on the weekends with Stonewall Sports Twin Cities. My obsession with coffee is borderline a problem, but I switch to decaf midday to avoid shaking the day away (feel free to ask for recommendations around the cities).
Welcome to EpiCH! I am honored to have the opportunity to work with you in pursuit of your academic goals. My role as Graduate Program Coordinator is to support students with academic advising, and administrative support, to provide referrals to support resources, and to assist students in navigating policies and procedures. I am dedicated to creating and supporting an inclusive education environment for all students.
I completed my own MPH in 2018 and am thrilled to work with students studying and working in Public Health. I am excited to speak with you about your Public Health goals and interests.
Away from work, you can find me outside enjoying all Minnesota weather. I am an avid skier and horseback rider. I also love to find new places for camping and hiking.
Hi there! I am the Graduate Program Associate for the EpiCH Student Services team. I am responsible for curriculum and course management and scheduling, admissions coordination, and academic data and analytic support. I communicate with prospective students, so we'll most likely work together during those stages. You'll also find me at different division and department events.
Outside of work, I enjoy watching movies, reading thriller fiction books and graphic novels, riding my bike, thrift shopping, and spending time with my three dogs. I look forward to contributing to a positive and supportive experience for you!
