Calling One Stop about student financial aid (612-624-1111) and ask about increasing aid and/or seeking support from the student emergency loan fund. Financial aid may be able to do something more if there are financial issues related to campus housing.
One Stop counselors are certified in personal financial management. Students can set up a 30-45 minute, 1:1 meeting with a certified One Stop counselor, by simply sending an email with what they would like to discuss from their University of Minnesota email account to onestop@umn.edu with “Financial wellness appointment” in the subject line.
Bridge to Benefits: Screening tool students can use to determine eligibility for a number of programs (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, Emergency Cash Assistance, Energy Assistance, etc.)

Salvation Army, NE Minneapolis: Food shelf, food assistance applications, hygiene supplies, rent/utility assistance. Can visit once per month to gather needed food/hygiene supplies. Call ahead to ensure they serve applicable zip code and to ask what to bring.
