Immigration Support

The Medical School Human Resources Immigration Support Team supports over 600 active visa and immigration cases for employees, visiting scholars, and Medical Residents and Fellows. The Immigration Support Team provides expert consultation and assistance on multiple visa types, including J-1, H-1B, and O-1, as well as assisting employees who are pursuing permanent residency in the United States. The team partners with Medical School departments and human resources, as well as University of Minnesota Physicians and external legal counsel, to ensure the highest level of service is provided to our foreign national employees and faculty, clinicians, and research scholars.
