Through the PREPSS Peer Reviewer Training program, we provide training to passionate global health students, researchers, and professionals to strengthen their ability to conduct high-quality peer reviews. PREPSS provides a rigorous training workshop to provide participants with the knowledge and skills to become an effective peer reviewer.
Participants who successfully complete our training program are invited to join our network of over 150 peer reviewers. PREPSS peer reviewers provide support to authors in low- and middle-income countries who have undergone an initial training on scientific writing and publishing through the PREPSS Author Training program. PREPSS peer reviewers provide manuscript review and feedback to these authors to improve their research articles and help them get "in-the-door" at their target peer reviewed journal. Peer reviewers do not need to be content experts.
Interested in our program? Review our eligibility criteria and apply below.
How It Works:
PREPSS-supported authors submit their research manuscripts to PREPSS for peer review support.
PREPSS assigns 1-2 peer reviewers to review and provide high-quality feedback on the author's draft manuscript.
What You Do:
PREPSS peer reviewers are expected to thoroughly read their assigned manuscript and provide clear and supportive feedback to help the author improve their manuscript.
PREPSS peer reviewers do not need to be content experts, though their goal is to help the author get "in-the-door" at a peer reviewed journal.
How Often:
PREPSS Peer Reviewers are asked to review about 1-2 manuscripts per year.
