Artifact: EDFP 402: Reflection for the end of the first six weeks of apprenticeship 2
Going over the coursework which focused on interdisciplinary units and integrated curricula helped me reflect and know more on how to enhance student learning and engagement. I was able to reflect on how I included different content areas in one lesson, and how it helped my students. My own experience for my first six weeks was one of excitement and fun. I was able to learn a lot from my cooperating teacher, and I was able to dig deep into what the students were learning before creating my lessons that I would be teaching them. By doing so I was making sure to create a meaningful and authentic learning experience for my students, and I was able to reflect on how what I was incorporating would be able to impact my teaching practice, and my students understanding and learning. I focused on the role that technology played and engaging my students, and what pedagogy was used to also engage the students. I also focused on how assessments would support student learning in my lesson. I'm glad to say that my first six weeks was a triumph, and while doing the reflection, I was looking forward to my next six weeks in a different classroom.
