"How can I help the earth?", Integrated lesson

Creating this lesson was an extremely rewarding and helpful experience. I placed this under learning experiences since it was a learning experience for me since I had to Focus on a topic I have never focused on before. I was also incorporating a hands-on experiment in this lesson which went smoothly with my first graders and made them engaged and happy during the lesson. I think by taking a broader perspective when making this lesson, I was able to learn more on how to prepare lessons for students, as well as focus on things that the students could benefit from.

The students themselves were extremely well behaved during the lesson, and we were able to learn more on ways they can help the Earth, and also able to apply what they know into an ELA portion of the lesson where they write about what they can do to help the earth. 

By incorporating technology into this lesson, I was also able to engage these children even more, and by conducting an experiment where they were all required to contribute, I was also making sure that they were following along in the lesson and learning. I'm glad to say that this was a good learning experiences for both me and my students.
