Hello ! My name is Fatimah Abadi, and I am a university student who is excited to become a teacher. I enjoy painting, writing, reading, and spending time with my grandma. My favorite color is orange, and my favorite subject is English. The reason that has always motivated me to be a teacher is the fact that I grew up in a family of teachers which include my grandma and grandpa, three of my uncles, and one aunt. Because of them it is my dream to become a teacher and help pace the future with adequate growing children. I am sure that I will bring a positive attitude and workforce to the teaching field, as well as confidence for myself and everyone around me.
Besides coming from a family of teachers, there is something else that has contributed to my decision to be an educator. I was put in a rather difficult position when I was 12 years old and was taken out of school against my will by my father’s side of the family, causing me to be late in my education in the future. However, my mother’s family helped me get back on track and gave me the attention I needed to regain my confidence in school. Because of this life experience I was able to see that for education, even a child's life can go downhill, and because of this experience it has led me to want to be a teacher. I would like to eliminate any possibilities of a child having to go through what I went through and feeling as if they were not worth going to school and having an education. I want students to feel safe when it comes to going to school, and I hope that by taking this course and more education classes I will be more than prepared when I become a teacher with my own class.
