Book Nook Assignment: "My brother Charlie"

I completed this artifact last year, and I am happy to say that it was one of my favorite assignments that I ever worked on. I was given a book, and had to break that book down and talk about the age appropriateness, how it promotes development and support of content area, and how it can help students feel included in the classroom.
This amazing book focused on a child with autism, and how with love and support that child can feel accepted and needed.

I believe this is why I chose to incorporate this assignment to the learning environment. This specific book helps students feel accepted and helps them to be able to learn and collaborate with one another in different environments. Also, this specific artifact gives viewers an idea of how this book can be acted upon in many different activity ideas in the classroom.
