Project Title: Psychosocial Approach and Behavioral Intervention in Preventing the Spread of Infection in Hospital ICUs
The component in this study included a focus group discussion involving healthcare workers, including staff nurses, sisters, matrons, and medical doctors, aimed to investigate psychosocial workplace risks, highlighting potential issues with negative impacts on individuals and organizations while also uncovering positive aspects conducive to fostering healthy and sustainable workplaces. This discussion informed a psycho-behavioral intervention targeting knowledge, attitudes, and practices related to hand hygiene and infection prevention and control (IPC) compliance among healthcare workers. To enhance and prolong the effectiveness of the training, a mobile application was integrated into the intervention program, thereby reinforcing and sustaining the teaching and learning process.
