What is 3D Printing?
A printing process that makes three dimensional objects from digital models. The Terry James Resource Centre is home to two 3D printers available for UGDSB staff projects.
What can I 3D print?
Any object that will fit in the machine. Before you choose a design, ask yourself:
Why am I printing this object?
Is the object useful? Does it serve a purpose?
Could the design be improved?
What are the benefits of printing this object rather than buying something similar?
How does this promote inquiry?
How much does it cost?
Costs are unique to each print job - all printing is charged to your school (or appropriate budget).
Can I get help with my print job?
Absolutely - TJRC staff can assist with 3D printing and modeling.
