Graduate Student
I am a first year Ph.D. student also co-advised by Professor Papoutsakis and Professor Ierapetritou. I am beginning research on modelling of how different process parameters affect the product quality attributes of biopharmaceuticals produced by Chinese Hamster Ovary (CHO) cells. By performing unique experiments and developing our mathematical model we aim to be able to predict critical outcomes in real time during both continuous and fed batch cultures. Developing these Process Analytical Technologies (PATs) is a key bottleneck in making rational design choices in biomanufacturing settings.
