Fee Schedule - Microscopy
All the core instruments in the UCSC Life Science Microscopy Facility are on a recharge system. Microscopy recharge fees vary based on whether the user is within or outside UCSC. Routine questions and questions related to equipment malfunction will be answered free of charge. There is no specific training fee for training on recharge scopes, however users may incur scope use fees during training if training requires use of the user's own account. For training on non-recharge scopes your will be billed at the Technical Assistance rate for the training session. Experimental consultation is provided free of charge. Fees may apply for pilot experiments that require assisted imaging (see rate structure below). New users need to contact the center manager to schedule a training section, see Training
Accounts will be billed based on the time spent logged into Windows on the microscope control computer. Do not forget to logout at the end of your session or you may be billed.
Anyone failing to pay for their microscope use in a timely manner will be contacted and will be subject to restricted access.
