Transport

Above is the "Greenground" map of London. It shows all the green spaces of London and how they link together... what if all maps were focussed around getting to and from green spaces rather than highlighting the roads or trainlines?! (see https://www.nationalparkcity.london/greenground to access the full version)

Current transport projects

Remove and Upper Remove (Years 10 and 11) are currently working with the London BikeIt program run by the charity Sustrans, which encourages children to cycle to school. A map showing the distance from University College School and how far it takes to get there by bike and on foot can be accessed here.

We are in the process of recording basic bike maintenance videos to keep your bicycles in top shape for cycling to and from school. If you have anything that you would like to know how to fix on your bike do email environment@ucs.org.uk.

Bespoke Cycle Skills Sessions are also on offer for anyone in the school community who wants to get advice and guidance on all elements of cycling.

Eight pollution monitors are currently up around the school recording pollution levels to help us identify the risks and to highlight the issue of air quality. A map and photographs of these will follow, along with the results.

The action plan has been completed and can be seen below, alongside a cycle map of London (visit https://tfl.gov.uk/maps/cycle?intcmp=40402 to access the full version, plus other transport information)
