I create opportunities to use design process and/or computational thinking through collaborating with my students and hosting coding events for elementary students. The past two years, I have hosted local gifted students at the UCA college of education where my preservice teachers created and facilitated computational thinking activities for elementary students during the "Hour of Code".

This assignment starts with a short lecture and coding playground as shown in the slide show below. Then the students are assigned a group project where they create activities and facilitate them, then reflect on their learning. Each element of the experience is shown below.
