Introduction to Fashion Illustration was taught by Elementary Arts teacher Meghann Rooney. Following the 9 Heads Method of illustrating fashion figures, students created their own three piece collection. They studied how to illustrate textures, patterns, and clothing styles. Before designing their final looks for their collection, students created a mood board to express their inspirations for their designs.
Lauren Benoit taught Dance and Movement to the 6th and 7th grade students. During this class, students learned the basics of ballet, ballroom dancing, and social dancing. Click to play a compilation of skills learned by the fall class and the spring class doing the Earth Day Dance Challenge!
Anna Hero taught Broadcast Journalism to the 6th and 7th grade students. The students learned some of the basics of journalism and reporting. They began the semester by writing articles for their newspaper. Then, they moved on to video reports!
Lulu Reeks taught Honors Orchestra to 6th and 7th grade students. These students elected to take this class to expand on their strings skills. For the girls in this class, they got to take strings three times per week. They performed at several Academy Masses, special school events and at the Catholic Schools Week Lakeside Arts Festival.
