Welcome to High School Theatre and Dance!
Our Theatre department head, Amanda Zirkenbach teaches High School theatre and dance courses and directs the annual Spring musical. High School theatre students perform in annual Ursuline and community productions, take field trips to see professional productions, and engage in workshops with theatre professionals and arts organizations.
Fall Semester
Fall semester dance and theatre students performed alongside members of Ursuline's drama club, "Queen's Players", in the annual Performing Arts Showcase. Much of the material is original work written or choreographed by the students.
Spring Semester
Spring is a busy time for theatre and dance. Not only does Ursuline present an academy-wide Spring Musical, theatre and dance classes in the High School perform for the their student body on Field Day. In order to maintain that tradition Mrs. Zirkenbach and the girls put together some virtual material to share with the Ursuline community.
Theatre Production students decided to show us how not to behave in a digital classroom.
Please enjoy their short film, Major Offense.
Dance students created videos of themselves "Dancing in the Streets." McKenna Bernstein, class of 2020, edited all the footage together to create a fun an engaging celebration of music and movement.
