II    DRESS CODE

III   STUDENT CONDUCT 

The University of Alberta Radiation Therapy Program students are expected to hold themselves to a high level of professionalism, especially during clinical placements.  The two policies that govern the expectations are the Student Placement Agreement (PDF) and the Practicum Intervention Policy.

IV   USE OF PERSONAL ELECTRONIC DEVICES

Students are not permitted to use cell phones or other electronic personal devices while in patient care areas. If personal communication is required, please speak with your clinical faculty member for guidance.

V    RADIATION SAFETY IN A CLINICAL ENVIRONMENT

Students are expected to follow and comply with the procedures outlined in the Radiation Safety in a Clinical Environment procedure document. Students and Radiation Therapy Program Clinical Faculty members must receive appropriate hospital training, comply with that training and wear a Personal Radiation Dosimeter (PRD) at all times while in a clinical environment.
