If you have an approved accommodation, please notify the program administrator, Kayanna Reff at obgynume@ualberta.ca. Preferably three weeks before your rotation begins.
Students requiring accommodations in this course due to disabilities affecting mobility, vision, hearing, learning, or mental and physical health are encouraged to discuss their needs with the Academic Success Centre, located at 1-80 Students’ Union Building (SUB). For more information, you can reach them at 780-492-3381 or email arrec@ualberta.ca.
Students needing accommodations for chronic conditions must register with the Accessibility Resources Office and activate their accommodations by providing a letter of accommodation to both the course coordinator and the Assistant Dean of Academic Affairs as soon as possible—preferably four weeks before the start of the course.
For those requiring accommodated exams, please register your exam in Clockwork and notify the MD Program Assessment Specialist and the Clerkship Administrator at least one week (7 days) before each exam. It is also advisable to schedule an appointment with the clerkship coordinator at the beginning of this rotation to discuss any necessary accommodations.
If you write exams with accommodations at Accessibility Resources, please be mindful of their deadlines and regulations. Failure to meet these deadlines or follow the procedures may result in Accessibility Resources being unable to provide the necessary space and/or services you require. In such cases, the MD Program may not have the resources to offer accessibility-related exam accommodations, and you may need to take your exams with your peers in the assigned room during the allotted time.
