The examination is designed to test your knowledge with 3 different levels of questions:
These questions test for basic knowledge. Most students will answer most of these questions correctly. Basic reading and clinical experience are required to answer these questions.
Questions test for intermediate knowledge. Most students will answer many of these questions correctly. Wider reading and a broader clinical experience are required to answer these questions.
These questions test for a high level of knowledge. A minority of students will answer most of these questions correctly. Extensive reading and dedication to achieving a wide clinical experience are required to answer these questions.
Most students score in the range of 70% - 85% in this examination. The pass mark is 60%. If you fail to reach this standard, you have not met the requirements of the course. The Clerkship Coordinator will meet with you to discuss further steps.
