Describe the cardinal movements of labour.
Identify fetal position.
Perform cervical assessment for labour progress.
Perform a simulated vaginal delivery.
Deliver a placenta in a simulated setting.
Describe the options for operative vaginal delivery.
Discuss risk factors for shoulder dystocia.
Demonstrate management of shoulder dystocia in a simulated setting.
You will be seeing a new patient (Standardized Patient; Actor) in Dr. Chu’s obstetrical practice. The patient has been referred from the Family Medicine Obstetrical Practice to OB due to a history of postpartum hemorrhage in a previous pregnancy.
You will see a 31-year-old patient (Standardized Patient; Actor) presenting with Dyspareunia. Take a complete history.
