Green & Gold Staff Code of Conduct
Golden Bears & Pandas Athletics and Campus & Community Recreation are committed to providing an environment in which all individuals are treated with respect. Employees of Green & Gold Summer Camps shall conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times. Employees shall refrain from comments or behaviors that are disrespectful, offensive, abusive, racist, or sexist. In particular, behavior that constitutes harassment or abuse will not be tolerated by the University of Alberta. During the course of all Green & Gold Summer Camps, employees shall avoid behavior which brings the University of Alberta into disrepute. Employees of Green & Gold Summer Camps shall not engage in any activity or behavior that endangers their safety or the safety of others. Failure to comply with this Code of Conduct will result in disciplinary action.
Green & Gold Summer Camps are committed to maintaining a work environment that promotes equal opportunities and prohibits discriminatory practices. Harassment is defined as conduct that is insulting, intimidating, humiliating, offensive, or physically harmful and is a form of discrimination that is prohibited by human rights legislation in Canada. In its most extreme forms, harassment can be an offense under Canada’s Criminal Code. This policy applies to all employees of Green & Gold Summer Camps.
Green & Gold Staff Expectations
As a member of the Green & Gold Summer Camps staff, you have an important role to play in the overall success of the camps as it relates to the enjoyment and safety of camp participants. You are an ambassador of the University of Alberta, Campus & Community Recreation, and Golden Bears and Pandas Athletics. As such the following expectations apply:
Ensure you thoroughly read and understand all parts of the Policies and Procedures Manual.
Following the duties and tasks outlined in staff training and the Policies and Procedures Manual.
