It will also be your responsibility to set up the banners for the start of sign out on Monday and Friday

Those who start later will support sign in with non-assigned roles like being in charge of signing kids in, getting their nametags, bringing campers to their respective area of the gym, and playing with them before the camp officially starts.
These roles are not official, and you can decide amongst your camp coaches who does what
Sign out:
Those who are not assigned a role will support sign out with non-assigned roles like playing with the kids, signing kids out, and cleaning the space/putting away the tables once all the kids have signed out.
These roles are not official, and you can decide amongst your camp coaches who does what
You are the first impression for parents, so it’s important to be welcoming! Help them feel comfortable at our camps.
Responsible for directing parents to their appropriate sign in location on Mondays and Tuesdays, so you need to know the locations for all camps, not just your own!
You'll need to be wearing the current year's shirt so that you are recognizable to parents
You will be stationed in key areas where parents might get lost or have questions.
For north campus, you will need to be stationed:
North VVC entrance
South VVC entrance
Near the Stadium parkade
By the tables next to Uhall and the East VVC entrance
By the bear statue outside of VVC (for walkers, not drivers)
For south campus, you will need to be stationed:
East Saville entrance (inside, before the desk)
West Saville entrance (inside, before the desk)
Please review the parent parking options for your campus to help answer any questions
a coach scheduled until 5:00pm
responsible specifically for collecting and distributing lost and found items into the lost and found bin at the end of the each day
Label items with Date, and Location found using Tape
Add to Bin: Ensure this bin is placed out where parents can see it at sign out so they can rummage through as needed
Each day coaches scheduled until 5:00pm are responsible for take down, making sure all the aim bags and admin bins make it into the cage for the night. You can also tidy the equipment cage.
On Fridays, these coaches will also fully organize the equipment cage. This includes resetting the AIM bags as well as ensuring that all the equipment in the cage is in the correctly labelled space. This role is important for making the following Monday run smoothly.
Every staff member will have a 30 min supervision shift (before or after your 30 min lunch break)
During your supervision shift, you are expected to:
Actively supervise the campers – walk around the space every now and then, check in with campers (make sure they actually eat their lunch, make sure they aren’t too loud, aren’t misbehaving etc.)
Give campers a 5-10 min warning before their lunch is finished
Take campers to the bathroom
Before leaving the lunchroom:
Pick up garbage
Pick up any items that were left behind
Perform a camper headcount
Each camp will have an assigned lead coach. While all coaches will lead sessions and blocks with their camps, assigned lead coaches are responsible for being the main contact for their camp
This means that last minute communication from admins (eg. regarding changes to facility spaces) will be shared with the lead coach directly who then distribute this information to their other coaches
Lead coaches will also be the ones calling parents whenever a child has not arrived to camps (done after taking attendance and starting block 1)
Lead coaches are also responsible for the camp duotangs with important and sensitive information about the campers
Not sure if you’re filling your role correctly? Ask your camp admin!
