I am an Instructional Technology Coach for the Tuscaloosa City Schools in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. I served all 13 elementary schools in the system my first year as a coach. I currently serve six schools and one specialty school when possible. I am also towards the end of the EdS program in Educational Technology at Boise State University.

I spent five years teaching Pre-Kindergarten through first grade for TCS and within that time, my passion and advocacy for children, their families, and the teaching profession has grown tremendously.

Teaching and learning should bring joy. How powerful would our world be if we had children who were not afraid to take risks, who were not afraid to think, and who had a champion? Rita Pierson said it best, "every child deserves a champion, an adult who will never give up on them, who understands the power of connection, and insists that they become the best that they can possibly be."

I am the oldest of four and the mom of Brody (shih tzu) and Sassy (yorkie). Ziggy and Noah are both deceased. I have two nephews, Tyler and Tristen and a niece, Journee, arriving in May. When I am not with loved ones, I am home catching up on my favorite TV shows (one being The Golden Girls), working out, traveling, and/or reading. I am BIG on family and showing love to all whom I adore.
