I had so much fun completing this project. It may very well be my favorite of the course. I enjoy having the free range to be as creative as I'd like. This project allowed me to dive deep into the history of the state I have lived in all my life and to showcase it's pain and beauty to students. Social Studies, like Science, is oftentimes neglected in elementary schools because the focus is on Reading and Math. I wanted this project to be on a topic lost in education.

I really like how it turned out. I sent this project to teachers as and they loved it. I had one teacher actually use it and the students enjoyed learning about Alabama and podcasting. I plan on creating more activities like this and sharing them via social media.
