The Office of Honors Programs provides support for research and creative endeavors to a select number of students annually. The primary purpose is to recognize excellence in research and creative work among those enrolled and in good standing in TWU’s honors programs.
Honors Research Grant recipients receive financial support to complete a research or creative project that has a reasonable likelihood of resulting in publication in a scholarly journal or acceptance at a professional conference in the student’s field. Honors Research Award recipients receive financial support for work that has been submitted or accepted to a national or regional conference in their discipline. Funding is contingent upon acceptance by the conference. Students must submit an application for consideration and must be in good standing in the Honors Scholar Program. Application deadlines are announced at the beginning of each academic year.
As part of TWU mandatory fees, students contribute each semester toward the International Education Fee. This fund assists students participating in approved TWU education abroad programs outside of the United States. The Education Abroad Scholarship (EAS) is open to all TWU students, including international students, meeting the eligibility requirements as stipulated within the application. The EAS is available to TWU students participating in short-term (1-3 weeks), summer, semester, or year-long education abroad programs. Please see Eligibility Requirements for additional parameters.
To be eligible for consideration and retention of the EAS, applicants must meet ALL stipulated requirements and guidelines.

Recipients who withdraw from their education abroad program are no longer eligible for the EAS and must repay the award amount if the award has already been distributed.
Failure to maintain EAS requirements may result in the revocation of a recipient's award.
Recipients must be receiving new course credit for the program they are participating in. Eligibility does not apply when the EAS has already been used for the same course and program.
