The Athenian Honor Society (AHS) is the official student organization of the TWU Honors Programs. It is chartered with the Center for Student Development and has elected officers from the honors program student body.
The Executive Board for AHS is responsible for planning many of the honors events during the year, organizing service projects and fundraisers, publishing the honors newsletter and research journal, Off the Quill, and hosting prospective students.
President
The President oversees all operations of AHS and is the primary point of contact for all Executive Board members and Faculty Advisors.
Vice President
The Vice President oversees the Honors Mentor Program and is the primary point of contact for social media outreach. The Vice President is also responsible for assisting the President and other Executive Board members when necessary.
Treasurer
The Treasurer is responsible for maintaining the AHS bank account and budget. They are also the point of contact for all financial inquiries.
Secretary of Fundraising
The Fundraising Secretary oversees the committee in charge of planning fundraising events and programs for the organization and for selected charities.
Secretary of Outreach
The Outreach Secretary oversees the committee responsible for connecting with Honors alumni, faculty, TWU administrators, and other TWU student organizations.
Secretary of Publications
The Publications Secretary oversees the committee responsible for publishing the research journal and annual newsletter under the direction of the Faculty Advisors.
Secretary of Marketing
The Secretary of Marketing oversees all marketing initiatives such as AHS social media.
Secretary of Service
The Service Secretary and Committee are responsible for tracking, reviewing and approving service hours of all students in the Athenian Honor Society.
Secretary of Social/Cultural Events
The Social/Cultural secretary oversees the committee that is in charge of planning all social/cultural events.
HAC Representative
HAC Reps serve as student representatives on the TWU Honors Scholar Program Advisory Council (HAC) and the Executive Board each year.
